domestic flights

I have not been on any domestic flights other than those in Malaysia and New Zealand.
Firstly, lets have a look on what a the third world countries' budget domestic flights offers. Taken from Tiam's page

Then, we come to another third world country, malaysia and our budget flights- Air Asia .

Lastly, the first world country- New Zealand. Where i'm spending about $220 =approx RM500 per domestic flight on budget planes like Vincent Aviation and Origin Pacific Airlines which its' smallest plane fits maximum of 9 people and 400kg of baggage.

In business terms, their marketing strategy is right, as the population of NZ is only reaching 4.4 million and approximately 2 million visitors traveling to NZ per year, they do not need bigger planes.

*Hm... This 9 seater plane is what i was on for my first flight to Palmy and landed in an airport that looks like a bus terminal to me! Shocking! Lol...*

counting down from 47 days

This blog is nearly dead soon. My camera is broken, therefore no more pictures to illustrate what I am talking about, as I am lazy to look up for them on the web.

Counting down from 47 days, that is the day that I am moving to Auckland, the biggest city in NZ. I am waiting anxiously to start a new life, for your info, I’m fine now as well, just that I would lead to something unexpected I guess, like the day I left Penang to this small town 4 years ago. Things would be slightly different by then, last year of my studies and if there is a job offer, I might be staying there for few years. Few years that might change my perspective on life. Wondering where would I be in 10 years time? NZ? Pg? or some other countries?

I was lucky to stay in a Kiwi hostel for my first year, living with 66 Kiwis and 4 International student, I truly seen how a Kiwi lives. I was amaze when I saw them sunbathing right in the centre of the court, naked! Then, flatting with northern chinese which I am force to pick up their mandarin slang as Malaysian mandarin seems foreign to them.

I'm at my fourth year now, the year which i had lived with 66 exchange students who came for just one semester, leaving me wonderful memories. It is sad to see them leave one by one, knowing that chances of meeting them again would be nearly zero.

47 days more to go. But before then, i have 6 assignments and 2 exams to complete. Then.. I'm free!!! Hooray!!
