Minus 5

The world's first minus 5 bar is opened in Auckland about by hotelier Craig Ling who now has 5 minus 5 bars in Australia, NZ and the Caribbean. The bar is located at Princess Wharf at downtown Auckland.



Well, it is not as cool as the ICE hotel in Iceland but for Australiasia, its good enough. A bar which is made of ice. The temperature is constantly below freezing ; the walls, the bar, the sculptures, the seats and even the glasses that we enjoy are all made of ice. We only pay $27 for an entry that includes a free drink which is some vodka concoction which taste like apple flavoured cocktails.

The ice sculptures are said to be change every 6 weeks.




Hm.. I wonder when Penang would have such a bar and the range of international cuisines like Auckland do. Both cities has a population of 1.5 million, the only difference is land area of Auckland is much bigger thats all. Ooooo. We don't have Duck like what London's Four Season offer, but we do have a range of other cuisines which is enough for this little city I Guess. But when would Penang offers the same, along with its' famous hawker foods?

Auckland Nov 4th till .......

After 4 years, the long awaited day has arrived. I'm in Auckland now to continue my studies till i graduate and leave NZ. Hooray!

Although it is not as big and busy as cities like Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney or even KL but it is good enough for NZ, comparing it to the little 'city' of Palmy.

Here, I can find all sorts of restaurants and activites! A place where you can see one Porsche out of 30 cars, a Lamborghini out of 500 cars. More malls to shop! Its cool..... for now... :)

The only problem is my stupid car keep giving me problems, maybe he doens't like Auckland! Jamming my handbrakes on the 2nd day I moved in, partly because I live on a hillside, which it has to work for most of the time. Hm...

But, it's sad to leave all my friends in Palmy and Amber who is going back for good and marrying 'the one'. I wish her an ever lasting happy marriage!
